The club celebrated its 75th anniversary in Welland and District in 2016.

CHILDREN’S AUTHOR: BARBARA REID (READING AND PRESENTATION)

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO ATTENDED THIS WONDERFUL EVENT!

Award-winning Canadian children’s author/ illustrator and Honorary Chair of Family Literacy Day 2016, Barbara Reid,  toured the Port Colborne, Welland and Pelham libraries to reveal the magic behind her world-famous plasticine illustrations.

THANK YOU TO OUR ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE FOR THEIR HARD WORK.

Our 75th Anniversary Committee put together an impressive display of our club history using a variety of materials. There were unique photos of our members from the decades past and meeting minutes written in precise cursive script. Also, our various interest groups were highlighted throughout the display. A extensive power point presentation further commemorated our history and accomplishments.

FLOWER BED AT PRINCE CHARLES DRIVE

As a congratulations for our milestone anniversary, the city of Welland planted the flower bed at Prince Charles Drive (near the Fire Hall) with our logo and name.
